I just ordered a Stihl FS85. I also ordered the articulating (0-90 degrees) hedge trimmer attachment that goes with it. This is not the split boom, multi-tool. I'm a little wary of split-booms which seem to be heavier, in general, and have more parts to them that could go wrong. It's just a hedge trimmer "attachment" that u replace the trimmer head with. I'm feeling pretty smug about this right now. A full blown great commercial trimmer...and, for 195$ more...a full blown articulating pole hedge trimmer. Seem's like a smart move, but I probably need some confirmation. Does anyone else have this setup? Whatcha think of it? And...is STIHL the only company that offers a setup like this, without going to the split-boom?
