Is there a web site with parts breakdowns for STihl trimmers?
No, I don't think so. I have looked and looked, but found nothing.
Stihl's policy prohibits online orders, so one can only buy parts from dealers. Also, they keep their parts books on CD-ROM and don't distribute them. A couple of years ago, I contacted Stihl, complaining they remain about the only supplier of OPE without some form of online lookup, order, etc. Their response was courteous, but told me that parts are only available from local dealers, and they don't distribute parts books.
there used to be a place online, some woodworking place, but sthil let 'em have it, and no more look-up.
Check out Ebay in the advance search section check worldwide. I bought a workshop CD from AU for like 10 bucks. It give you all the setup specs. and parts list with exploded views so you can see how it comes apart and put back together. You can some times find the replacment parts on ebay as well.
great advice. THanks.
