    G'day all

I have bought a Stihl FS120R witha supercut head on it, you know it's the auto feed head model. Well i am happy with the performance except that it seems to eat the line big time. It seems as though it lets out way too much line and the it cuts the excess off, also it sometime lets one side spool out more than the other and I am left with 4 feet of line in one spool and nothing in the other.
I like the low profile and the auto head saves manually letting line out by hand. But I just seem to be going thru line very quickly.

    Any Feedback apprieciated

Head indexes thru centrifigual force. Use the stiffer springs to raise the advance speed mode.
Never found it to be reliable, and esay to wrap/service.
When it's worn out, or you are....buy the Sugihara Auto Cut head sold thru Red Max, Shindiawa, Veri, and other companies
Designed better, and works more consistantly.

    G'day Mower Man

What do you mean use the stiffer springs is there such a thing available.

Will the Red Max, Shindiawa, Veri, and other companies heads fit the Stihl ???

It's a great idea and would raise production over using a manual feed head.
