    Hey folks, i just got a used Stihl 420 blower that hasn't run in about 2 years. supposedly ran before but, I have no spark? any ideas on what to look for?

    Remove the rear cover and disconnect the kill switch lead from the coil/Module and check again. If you have spark trace the kill wire and check the switch.

    We have one in the shop now the kill lead shorted against the muffler.

    Also plan on a carb. overhaul after sitting that long.

    Thanks for the info. I did find a broken wire at the coil. After I repaired it, she runs great. I did replace the gas in it also. thanks again.
