Need to purchase a extended reach hedge trimmer for those hard to reach shrubs. I have been considering the kombi 130 because of it's power and the ability to use other attachments. Is anyone running one of these and how do you like it?

I do not have one but have had very good luck with Stihl products. I have heard that people like the kombi systems. Good luck.

The KM 130 is an excellent tool, you won't be disappointed.

The only negative feedback we hear is that for trimming it has too much power. For everything else the extra power is a good thing, but for trimming it's too much sometimes.

BTW, the KM Blower attachment has almost 600 CFM when used with the 130 powerhead :)

I got the km 90 a couple weeks ago and love it. Dealer recomended the 90 for me as it is a primary Hedger, and I got the weed eater head just to have a back up. Even the km90 has twice the power as my echo 210 wacker. Talked to a lco that had one before I bought mine and he had nothing bad to say about it either.

I've got the KM110 and love it. I use it only as a hedge trimmer so far and it has plenty of power. I will soon be getting the trimmer attachment and possibly the pole pruner. If I had to I would buy another one with no questions asked.

i have a km 90 and a km 130 love them both by far the best pieces of equipment to have for anybody.

with hedge triming i tend to use the km 90 the 130 has to much power and a little load when running by your ears but for weed wakin, edging, tilling the 130 rocks but if not good with a trimmer it eat up a piece of turf super fast it has so much go.

only complaint is it is expensive to buy all the stuff but wouldnt hesatate to buy any thing again.

    I've got a 110, and love it.
I must agree that its got too much power for the hedge trimmer. I hardly touch the throttle, and it still wants to go-go-go. If you're just doing hedges, the 130 is way overkill, but having more power in the motor is nice, if you're going to use the edging attachment. When I had the edging head on my 85, it was good, but the extra power of the 110 makes it fantastic.

Yeah, if anyone from Stihl is reading, those quick change gas caps SUCK!
I love the old screw on caps (FC85, SH85, MM55, man I've got too much of this stuff for just a homeowner). The quick caps on my KM110 and BR500 are awful. They're much harder to close, and I've had a number of times (especially on the BR500), where the cap appeared closed, but wasn't, soaking me in gas.

I have two 130r's and I love them. If your thinking of doing the Kombi system then i would go with the km130r.
