Apparently straw doesn't exist within 150 miles this week for some reason. What is another product that I can use to cover seed that does about the same thing? I'm most of the way finished with renovating a yard and now can't find straw, which usually isnt' a problem.

That would work if it wasn't over $1000 to do the yard. I called my fertilizer company today and he is checking on different erosion mats for me. Any ideas on price?

  4. we buy straw mats to lay in ditches and slopes, a mat is 1000 sq. ft. and cost around $36.00 a roll. With the way the wheat crop looks around here it could be scarce this summer here.

I don't think I've seen straw mats. Where do you purchase them?
