Any ideas on keeping straw down? I have been using a tailgate straw blower for years and we started using a 3 point hitch crimper too, but we just finished a site that was very sandy and the crimper had little to no effect leaving the straw to blow in the wind, and loosin git on most of the berms and peeks of slopes.

^Yup. Hit it with tack in the hydroseeder after blowing the straw. This is also an effective and common erosion controll practice

Are you guys using straw or salt hay. Straw has weed seeds correct?

Hay has a lot of weed seed but straw is not too bad. I am talking regular hay not salt hay. Salt hay is excellent.
