This will be my first year mulching. My question is will I still be able to lay down good stripes? In the past I have always bagged, or side discharged. Thanks

Yes you should be able to lay down good stripes. However you may leave a trail of grass behind when the grass is growing rapidly in the spring months or when its wet.

Striping will not be hindered by mulching.

All pics with mulching kits installed. It's the only way I cut. 36" John Deere G15 and 72" John Deere 997.

I think it's going to depend on the mower and what engine it has. Mulching robs power big time.

How big is the deck? It should do ok but in moist heavy growth it might slow you down.

I don't feel slowed down at all. I use the mulching blades, they use less energy to turn than anything with much lift. At first, I was using the high lift blades, but they didn't cut any better and used much more fuel.

Do you have all the baffles in place to contain each blade?
