is it possible to stripe rye grass?
can anyone tell me if its possible or dont even try. Because i just laid rye and i was going to by a roller but i dont want to waste my money.
Rye grass is already pretty thin so I don't see a need for a roller, just a normal deck should strip it easily
yes it will stripe to a decent degree. I don't get as pronounced of stripes with rye as I do with fescue, but rye does stripe much more than the southern grasses do...in my experience anyways.
can i put down fescue in LA during the winter months.(sorry about my knowledge of seeding)
I would stick with the rye grass for winter turf. That seems to be the best thing in our warmer climates for having green through the winter.
ok thats what i will do then
sorry in one of my posts i said i already laid rye, i didnt. when is the time for me to put it down to get the most out of it
some say by october 15th, some say just after the first frost.
I'd say right now isn't a bad time in my opinion
