My 1996 F350 diesel (automatic) is all of a sudden stuck in park and wont move to neutral or reverse. The abs light is also flashing.

    What gives?

Gotta be something related to the braking system. Those Fords have an interlock so the selector won't come out of park unless you step on the brake. You may have to have it towed to a Ford dealer so they can read the ABS fault code. Before you do that, check all your fuses.

I checked the owners manuel under abs light & it said check the fuse. There was a blown 15 amp fuse. I replaced it and the truck works fine now. Thanks.

The interlock is in the column simple to get to if you ever have to replace it. Dealers rates are way to expensive for me.
