Hello all I am in the process of starting my business and working on my dba and tax id number right now and have insurance quotes lined up. I am planning on offering mowing (mulching/bagging) trimming, aeration/overseed, and of course fall/spring clean up with a possibility of subbing someone for shrub trimming. I am looking at mowers right now and got some prices from a great reputable sales place ranked #10 ferris dealer in the country. I am basically hung up on what deck size to use because I am just getting ready to advertise and I am not sure what size lots I am going to get? I am thinking I don't want much more than 3 acres, but sure wont turn business down.Anyways I got quoted for a 2007 Demo 2000Z 61'' w/ about 50hr $7200.
. Brand new would be $8599 that is with the 25 hp Kawasaki not LC. Brand new same model but 52'' $8199.
He also has an 06 1500Z' 48'' 21hp with 12 hours on it for $5000 that was also a demo. Both demos come with 2 year warranties. New would be $6200.
what do you guys think? Any advice on anything would be great Oh and he had one more....It was a brand new last year Snapper 60'' deck (forgot engine size) for 6400

I think Snapper has a 27hp 62 inch unit in the $6K range this year....might check it out.
