stuck spindle

    1993 f-350 460 4x4

    the spindle will not come off for anything. penetrating oil, torch, rubber mallot. Any tricks to get it off?

    are you sure your taking the spindle off and not the wheel bearing the spindle is held in place with the ball joints. to pop the ball joints remove the cotter pin and the nut and hit the outside of the knuckle with a small sledge hamer a few times if it is the lower one be sure you have a jack under it to hold the spring pressure. if ti the wheel bearing make sure you have the bolts out and use a hammer and a flat chiesel and beat all the way around till it comes off
