Not exactly...but it does have something to do with timing...

What we have here........is failure to communicate!
Or, in other words, the flywheel key sheared.

Could be a cracked intake tube/manifold, or bad O ring.Could be a partly clogged bowl nut/jet. I've also ran into loose manifold/ shot gasket. Could be a gas cap not venting.

Exceeded the maximum operating angle, for too long, thereby oil starving the engine, resulting in trashing counterbalance assy.

I was thinking valves too, but if not then the key must be the problem

Only if it is partially clogged, if completely clogged the extra air from the primer going into the bowl won't help.
This is a better example of a clogged idle circuit or pilot jet (if present), where the primer charge keeps the engine running.

    Partially clogged...mostly clogged...slightly clogged...kinda clogged....its all good....
I can see that we are going to have to include multiple choices with the questions....

It goes to show how difficult it is to diagnose an engine on this forum with only one or two lines of symptoms....
There can be many different solutions for problems that sound the same....
That's why its so easy to....Stump The Technician....
