So I bought this Shindaiwa HT single sided hedge trimmers on new to ebay and I have no clue really how it works. I get it in the mail a week later (used) and I fuel her it and put her on choke and go to fire fire. so several times throughout the day I try cranking it and she still wont fire. When I got home today I pulled the plug and checked for spark and it has no spark. I changed plugs and still no spark. Generally does this mean I have a bad ignition? expensive fix? Should I make a big stink to Paypal or ebay and get my money back? Anybody know how this return policy works? As advertised in his sale it says runs great looks clean looks and runs great! ......ahhh I found that to be very different. Looks old...yes good for its age but must be 10-15 years old and dosent run good or at all! Fooey! :blob2:

This was from Nicksgarage2004 which he had many many Shindy products forsale.

If you payed by credit card, call the company and have them stop payment.

You didn't recieve the advertised product.

Do not buy anything from any online company or person that will not take a credit card.
Using Pay Pal. You have no no leg to stand on if you get burnt.
At least when you use a credit card. You will have them to back you up.

Did you contact him to see what he would do to resolve the issue?

contact the seller that it wont start, see what they do. Was is guaranteed by square trade? Was the purchase too good to be true?
Ebay works on feedback, so my late advice is purchase from sellers with only positive feedback, and you will get what you pay for. A deal is only a deal if it works. We do alot of buying and selling on ebay, and have let people return items to keep our feedback if they wernt happy with what they thought the item shouldbe. Good Luck

    Hey Bunton Guy-
I noticed this "jewelsandtools" has a ton of trimmers, edgers, etc. that always seem to have very low bids. Have you delt with this person? I'm curious if this is legitimate? Let me know what you think

got her runing....the owner called me today and let me know before he shipped out that he pressure washed it and the magneto might have some surface did and I cleaned it off and also the ignition wire was crimpted from when he took it off to inspect it before he sold it ( he put the screw on accident throught the wire) so I replaced the wire and she fired right up. Thanks guys.
