    Hello All,

Please dont slam me to much for this "Stupid" question. I have only been installing irrigation for about a year now and this will be my first season to blowout any systems. I have several people calling to have their systems shut down for the year and I have been reading alot about the blowouts but not one system I have been on this year including the ones I have installed have a place to connect to for blowouts.
My quest is this, how do you handle this. Install a connection point or blowout from somewhere else?

    Thanks in advance, James

Do any of your systems have faucets? That'll work. Going thru a backflow
preventer also works, but the pressure should be kept low to avoid warping
the check retainers. All our systems have Rain Bird 3/4" DLRC quick couple
valves located close to the roadside for our "drive thru winterize" Most of us
have been winterizing for years & know the pressures needed. With you, I'd
go slow...blow the furthest zone first & work back to drain the main. If you
found a faucet or q.c., winterize the backflow preventer with a bicycle pump.
"Blow dry" not needed, slight misting is all you need. Leave backflow ball valves
at a 45 degree angle just in case there's some water left.
