Right now the rain is stupid. In 2 months we'll be begging for it.

Trying to get everyone's first cut in is stressful enough....now I've got rain added into the mix.

Any tips for mowing soaking wet grass? Any secrets I haven't been privy too? Do share, please.

Just to go slow. I had a property yesterday where my 21" sunk up to the deck in the mud, but that said, I won't complain about the rain. Got more storms coming thru today and tomorrow, but I know what it could be like this summer. Last year the spigot shut down the end of May and we didn't see any rain until late August.

Yesterday, we came within one degree of setting a heat record, and by Friday we will come close to setting a record cold. Ya really gotta love this weather!! :)

Sure doesn't do any good to complain. Like the old saying we had when I was in the Navy; Just another chance to excel!! :)

Yeah, we'll be in the 80's again today and tomorrow and then the temp drops 30 degrees for the weekend. It's wacky.

Today is looking like it's going to be a complete washout. It's been raining off and on since 5 pm yesterday and is currently coming down in buckets.

Fingers crossed that the new customers have a little common sense!

I can understand why some services decide to quit. It can be stressful when you can't get going. This is the latest start ever for me. I remember being in it around march 5, and now we're past mid april, and i'm still getting scattered work.

Once everyone gets their first cut then the stress will go away for me. I'm probably stressing for no reason, though. If these new customers have a little common sense they'll realize that they're probably not gonna get their lawn mowed today.

We're pretty wet here too. I mowed the ones I could with my Gravely yesterday and a few others that were to wet I used my 21" mower. Takes a little longer but the yards look good and the customers are happy.

I've only got 10-12 left to do so I'm probably just gonna take the day off and bang the rest out tomorrow. I don't feel like cleaning the deck after every dang house.

Been so wet here and the grass is growing so fast that I'm going to take my mulching kit off my wb for a while. I had to stop and unclog too many times yesterday to be productive.

Creative, I'm just north of you. Remember, after that first cut the lawns will really come alive and the spring surge will be ON! I cut on a six day this week and they are coming in nicely, which was a concern with last year's nasty dry summer. Gonna be a working weekend for sure.

I cut my lawn on Sunday. It could be cut again right now. The growth is pretty amazing.

I only do 30 lawns so I can afford to bum one day if I have to. Looks like today may be the day to do it.

Rain on Friday too. Good times.
