Subdivsion Front

    When you price commercial property, what do you guys include? I have a chance to do a subdivsion front for a builder and am not sure what to include in the monthly price. Specifically looking at Pine Straw refreshing, fertilizing and weed control, shrub replacement. Do you guys include that or do you do these on per item charges?

    Everything is a per item charge. Most people want a cost break down.

    You seem to have the right idea.

    Include all of the services you would expect to deliver over a full year period (pine straw twice, annuals, fertilization and preemergent) along with anticipated mowings. Divide all of that into a monthly rate.

    I always break out the line items showing the total yearly cost for all services. This way, he knows exactly what you plan to deliver. I've gotten good feedback on doing quotes in that manner.
