Just wondering what is everyones' success rate for when you go door to door selling your services or putting out fliers? I thought I had heard somthing like 3% but I can not remember. I knocked on 10 doors today telling people of aerating/overseeding and got 1 aerating/overseeding job and a good size install for next year. I know this is a very high rate for success but I want to get 15 new weekly maintanence customers next year and was wondering a rough estimate of how many fliers I should put out...thanks

In my market, you would need to put out 15,000 - 30,000 doorhangers to get 15 clients. I have read all kinds of stuff about 1 - 3% response rates. You may get a "response" of 1%. The only number I care about is actual sign-ups, and for me that number is in the 1 per 1-2k range.

Probably be more efficient and cost effective for you at this point to just bang on doors.
