Suggestions for organizing chains?

I have two different chainsaws that I use occasionally. Mostly for quick cleaning up or for cleanup jobs, sometimes after ice and/or wind situations that happen in my part of the world.

Right now I keep all my chains for both saws, 16" and 9", in an old ammo box in their original plastic box. After I change a chain I take the old one and put it back in its box. About once a year or so, all the used chains go get sharpened by the robot, or at least that's the plan.

Problem is they get all jumbled up and stuff... pretty soon I don't know how many sharp chains I have or how many used chains.

Anybody got a better way of taking care of their chains that they'd like to share?

    TIA

I hang them on the wall, along with the different bars. I hate trying to undo the jumbled metal maze.

Same here. Hang on the wall. Just like extension cords and spare belts.
