We have only been getting widely scattered showers for the past 3 weeks. I guess all good things have to come to an end. Temps are supposed to be cooler than normal by the weekend and that is not good either. Getting a bit dusty for the first time. This month won't be effected, but I need a good October/November like last year. The season got a late start. I hope it doesn't have a early ending.

Same here, never been this busy in a dozen years, rained at least weekly but now all of the sudden no rain at all since Tuesday 9 days ago and with highs in the 90's things are dry and dusty. I got lawns dyieng out, of all things, in September!

Customers getting caught by surprise being asked to turn on the sprinklers, probably for the first time this year.
Some had turned it off after I begged repeatedly due to mowers getting stuck...

Everytime too, the more years go by...
I'm sure glad for all my little side businesses, can't make a living off of those but they sure help.

I should have known better to look at the long range forecast. Very little rain is forecast for the next 30 days. We went from feast to famine. People will end the season early when dry chilly weather hits. Grass will still grow for the next two weeks, but after that, we have to have rain. Still 80s in the day and 60s at night

Getting very little rain here. I haven't mowed any customer accounts in three weeks. I mowed my own house today -- first time in over 5 1/2 weeks. Here's my rain gauge totals:

    May 9.11"
    Jun 2.20"
    Jul 1.33"
    Aug 0.11"
    Sep 0.08"

    Man, weve, ouch!
We had ample rain through july, which carried august for awhile.
The rain disappeared quickly, had some pretty high temps, and things are pretty toasty.
Currently running on about a 3 week schedule for non-irrigated.
Still way better season-wise than last summer's blistering drought.
    Fun stuff, huh?
