when i stop my mower for a few minutes it is leaving a burnt spot in the grass. I guess it is the muffler? Is there anything that can be done?

There is a shield your dealer can install at no cost to you.
Have your dealer call the factory and get one sent to him to install on your mower.

    PJ,

Mine is doing this. Stopped last week to chat for 30 seconds with customer. Came back today and a big brown spot in the yard.

    Where does this shield mount?

And what is the small screen thing on the bottom of my muffler?

The shield mounts under the muffler across the width of the opening between the bumper and frame.
I am not sure about the screen, I will take a look at one tomorrow.

Why not install all Super Z's with the heat shield. Mine was doing this two years ago. The shield solves the problem, why not be more pro-active?
