When mowing above 4 inches, I get a lot of grass and dust blowing out of the front of the mower and back into my face and seat area. Can you recommend a solution for this?
I am thinking about fabricating a front curtain to try and reduce the front gap between the deck and grass.
I have also heard that Hustler may have a " blow out kit" but can't seem to find any information about it.

    Thanks In Advance

What model Super Z do you have? what deck size and model? XR7 or VX4?
If you can get me the model # that is 6 digits long and the serial # I can help you find a solution.

Those model and serial #'s aren't Hustler #'s.
Your model will start with a 9 and is 6 digits long.
These #'s are located on a silver sticker about where your calf is, if your sitting in the seat of your mower.

That is the right set of #'s.
Have you adjusted your front baffle down to the lowest position?

Actually I didn't know there was a baffle to adjust. I have only raised and lowered the whole deck. I typically cut across the range of 3.5 inches to 5 inches depending where I am in the yard. I will have to do my homework!
    Thanks.

PJ - The baffle was mounted in the standard position. I changed it to the lowest holes or about 1/2 inch. Directionally, there is less debris blowing up into the seating area and my face but I still get a reasonable amount of dust/debris when cutting over dryer areas. Due to the weather and slope areas, I am cutting at 4.5 to 5.25 inches. Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks
    Dan

With the conditions we are having right now in this drought, it may be time to change to a lower lift blade or gator blades.
Part # 600901 is the low lift blade.
Part # 794230 is the Gator blade.
These are both Hustler part #'s.

Can you tell me the difference between the two blades? What is the advantage of the Hustler Gator blade?
    Thanks for your help.
