I am coming upon the 50 hour hydro oil change on my Super Z and was checking out my options.
The filter is 60 something dollars and it takes 3 gallons of oil, Mobil 1.
I need to save some money and try to do it my self.
    What is the procedure?
Do I work the wheels to get the oil out of the pumps and wheel motors?
I'm pretty mechanically inclined with dozens of motorcycles but I haven't done a hydro oil change before.

    Sorry, I must be blind.
I have that file on my computer and have looked at it several times looking for the information.
There is detailed information on testing and replacing parts but not an actual hydro fluid change.
Again, my question is do I need to evacuate all or as much of the fluid in the pumps and wheel motors by turning the wheels or, just drain the tank, refill it and install a new filter?
    Thanks

Drain the tank and replace the filter, your never going to get all of the oil out, unless you removed all the hoses and components and drain them.
The small amount left will not impact the new oil you install.
