Which engine and are you requesting engine oil or Hydro oil........check your manual for recommondation My SuperZ XR7 66" w/30hp Kohler has the drain "hose" and filter right at rear of engine, no mess great design no oil spilled on mower due to design/location of filert and drain if Hydro plug on bottom of hydro tank (support mower if you going under it)

Typically its going to be 10w30 or 30w.
I would not switch to synthetic in the engine until you get 50 hours on it.
In the hydro system it uses 20w50, you can switch to synthetic in it anytime you like.

Here is a link to your parts manual > http://www.hustlerturf.com/images/product_manuals/108603_0410.pdf

In the last section there is a maintenance chart that calls out all the intervals for servicing your mower.

Initial engine oil change is after 5 hours of operation.
Thereafter, change oil after every 40 hours operation.
Change more often under dusty or dirty conditions and during hot weather periods.

The hydro system is every 500 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
