The following is a quote I received last week?

    Super Z 27 / 60 $7199

    Super Z 28 EFI / 60 $7950

What are your opinions of the above quotes?

I just bought a 28 efi 60 inch. I gave 7900 for mine and love it.

That sounds like very good pricing. I would go with the 27 Kohler. I keep hearing that the EFI engines are very temper-mental and require computer diagnostic equipment to service them.

I heard the same thing before I bought mine, I decided to bite bullet and go efi and so glad I did. I could not believe the power difference. 28 efi will not bog down even scalping yards.

What was your price before tax? I'm not sure what sales tax is on mowers.

I have also heard nothing but praises about the 28 EFI being hands down compared to the 27.

In my opinion, both of those are great prices because my dealer quoted me $8,099 + tax on the 27/60 Super Z last fall if I am not mistaken. HOWEVER....

At this time there is a $1,500 discount off MSRP at participating dealers (100% optional).
I dunno if $8,099 is MSRP or not, but if memory serves me that was the number he pointed out to me from his list in his Hustler book.

Those mowers list for $9900 for the 27 Kohler and $10,900 for the 28 efi so those prices the dealer gave you are excellent prices. We priced a new super Z 27/60 for $8000 a couple weeks ago.

Where are you getting those prices? Quotes around here have the 60" 27 HP going for $8000 plus tax! Are they used or demo units? Maybe 04's the dealer is trying to get rid of?

Mowers are new, there is no difference in and 2004 and 2005. Mowers do not change on calendar years.
