I finally got my SuperZ 60 fixed up -I bought a project - rebuilt the Kawasaki 25HP engine did a little paint work and checked everything over.

First time on a zturn. This is a powerful machine - maybe too much for me. Its almost hard to keep the front end on the ground. My initial reaction was to push forward when the front end comes up - I learned pretty quickly that is the wrong reaction. I've been taking it easy but it still seems to have fairly sensitive controls.

Any tips would be appreciated. Do folks run at max RPM to maintain blade speed? Also, is there a way to determine what your engine RPM is?

You need to run your engine full throttle once your blades are engaged.
Engage your deck pto at about 3/4 throttle then take it to full throttle, this will give you your max blade tip speed for your best cut.
Engine RPM's should be 3600, you can check the RPM's with a digital tachometer or have a dealer check and adjust it.
