My local single location supplier just put their new site online today. Its pretty cool. It allows me to see all my pricing so I can do estimates after hours and place orders. Do your suppliers do the same with their sites?

I just looked at Atlantic Irrigation's site and it looks like it hasnt been updated in years.

Ewing has had that for a few years now. I like it a lot. I can also place an order online and they will have it pulled and ready at the store. Online payment is available as well.

Ewing is apparently re-designing their web site right now. I was logged on just a little while ago pricing a job and then I got booted off and now they have a temp page up saying to come back ont he 26th. We'll see how their improvements go! I love being able to get pricing online and order online too. I can order stuff at night from home and the guys can pick it up first thing int he morning and they are ready to go for the day.

Yeah... I agree. The search function was poor at best and the navigation was horrible.... But it still worked OK for what it was...

The biggest problem with Ewing is inconsistent use of abbreviations. It is a massive catalog. I seriously doubt that will be fixed. I suspect the site is down to up date prices and that will be about all that is done.

Over time my order pad has a pretty comprehensive list of what I need to know most of the time.

I get most of my stuff from a locally owned single location supply house. they are called Nugent Potter. shop.nugentpotter.com they are great for the basic sprinkler stuff but where they really shine is with all the copper, well supplies, drainage, and there service is great. the day after Sandy they were closed because there was no power but I called the owner and he let me because I needed to finish a job. Atlantic is ok but their branch here is small and under stocked.
