chuck, I have a inground pool at my house, its around 25yrs old, and all
the concrete sidewalks on the skimmer side sank and cracked from a broken water line. I was thinking of removing all the old concrete and taking a stab at using pavers for the first time...my problem is, i dont know what to do for the handrail mounts that are recessed in the concrete and the 6 little diving board studs that stick up. What do you usually do?

They need cement footers, the diving board footer should be about 4' wide 8 feet long and 6-8 inches thick, i also dig down and give the pad additional footers, this has to be set at a grade low enuff so the pavers can ride over the cement.

I would like to see input on the hard scape elements of pool construction.
