Me & the misses just got home from a walk. Its around 65 degrees here tonite, gotta luv it. Well anyhow we walked past a neighbors home at the end of our street. He just had his home relandscaped with beds of crushed rock edged with natural stone. The surprise was All plantings were PLASTIC. He has lariope, hastas and junipers made of plastic. Never saw anything like it before. They stand out as artificial because the color was way off green. I dont know, maybe this is temporary and he may replace in spring as a caution from harsh winter weather or availability problem, but thats a first for me.

Wow. That's really odd. I can't imagine having all the plants be plastic or silks. Weird.

I've often thought of sneeking in one REALLY GOOD silk among the rest of the plants in my own landscape. They make some VERY good fake silks these days. I've got some amazing ones inside and everyone always thinks they are real.
