System not winterized

    Generally speaking, where are the problem areas when a system was not winterized? He said her heard water running during the winter. I assume he then turned off the valve to the system. :dizzy: Do all the lines crack and the heads too, or what have you seen?

    Depends on the design/installation & location of system.

    Anything above ground first....
    valves and the manifold next....
    any low spots in the yard.... where lines come to a tee

    Odds are a backflow preventer will be broken. Same with PVC pipe. Underground, you may luck out. You don't need to explore for faults, they'll make themselves known.
