Taking blades off Dixie Chopper

    I can only remove my blades with an impact. Have tried to do it with hand tools while chocking the blade with a small block of wood but the whole spindle turns even though the blade is kept still. Would like to be able to remove them by hand if I ever HAD too. Thanks

    Next time you change them, don't tighten them with the impact. Use a wrench by hand. Then you should be able to get them off by hand.

    I tighten mine with a torque wrench set at 90 foot pounds. Try that one time and see if you have any trouble getting them off. You might also want to check the threads of the bolt to see if they're buggered up.
