Tank Weights

    Has anyone tried using their Cub without the two rear weights?,and what were the results.I just bought a Tank 48",with a 20hp. Honda.

    You will spin alot, makes it real front heavy. THe weights are on it to place 75% of the weight over the rear tire's, I was told.

    Ditto on the losing traction on the rear wheels after you remove the weights. I haven't put them back on yet because we don't use that machine much this year. I use the machine for spraying so the tank sits above the motor which adds lots of weight.

    I've had a few problems with mine because I use it for spraying and the 300 lb tank was heck on the rear axle. The real axle bearing couldn't take all that weight, I have replaced one side but it still grinds somewhere. Lucky for me I have a bunch of mowers so it justs sits in the shed until I have time to repair it.
