Could you guys give me any advice or helpful links about tax breaks for owning a small biz? I currently own equip, including an F350 and I was interested in using it solely for the biz. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

keep all reciepts for anything you buy for the biz, keep track of your mileage when using the truck for biz, fuel for equipment is a write off but not for truck. and talk to a cpa differnt laws for different areas.

I agree! Consult with a CPA. He will know the best way for your particular situation.

Remember everyone's situation is different. So spend the $200-300 bucks and sit down with a real CPA (NOT an accountant, anybody with no training can call themselves an "accountant"). Then after you do that go out and buy Quickbooks Pro or Quickbooks Contractors Edition. Doing those two things will be the best start up money you'll spend.
