Got a new Takeuchi dealer close by and they had one of these on display.
After seeing it there is no way I would purchase the TB145.

The Takeuchi rep said the angled blade would be here by the first of the year as well as added ZTS machines.
The next size will be around the TB125 size.
They seem too be sticking with boom swing system that is used on the TB153/TB180.

Now if I can find an extra 60k laying around.

I priced a TB153 around here last month or so and it was around $93,000. If you saw one for $60,000 where is it and who was selling it?

I was just at my local dealer in CT, the new machine is said to be comparible to the TB135.

I was told in between the TB125 and TB135.

The added weight of the swing boom usually will add substantial weight and and a little more digging force.
They usually fall in between .
    Who knows for sure.

The TB153 is around 12,430 pounds and the TB145 is 10,494 pounds.

The TB153 has 11,076 dig and 5665 Arm dig
The TB 145 Has 10,825 and 5027 respectivly.

    49,300 No Cab
    5,800 Cab
    685 Quick Coupler
    925 24" bucket
    1150 36" Bucket
    1775 Hyd Thumb installed.

This was the tire kicker price.

    That is through Mason Tractor.
I was told that if you get outside financing there would be an additional 2750.00 rebate.

My dealer I purchased my TL140 through has similar prices.

Rock Set I think that price you were quoted was for a TB180.

I bought a TB153 with cab/air and it was $57,200.00 That was with trade in of a TB53 with no cab and thumb/coupler.

I have not run the machine yet as I am waiting for new thumb and coupler.

They made some nice improvements in the 153 machine. Nothing huge but improvements none the less. I sure liked the power of the TB53. Almost the perfect sized machine atleast for what we do.

TK has been building the smaller side to side boom machines for some time. They just have not brought it to the NA market. If you search on the net you will find pictures of it. I don't know if it will be brought over with any changes or not. I will say that once you become accustomed to that boom you will struggle going back to a typical swing boom configuration. Although if you are running a swing boom currently give yourself a good days demo to get used to the side to side mechanism.

how much will cost the TB145 in the USA ?

    I buy in Austria a TB145 with CAB/Aircond.
    Breakerpiped, extra pipes for swivel-bucket,
hydraulic coupler standard, holding valves for craning

I pay for it around 57.000$ and this is a good price here,
how much will cost it like this in the usa ?

I´ve also meet Mr. takeuchi here in Austria at a presendation of the NEW 1140 that was tested for 2 years in my area,
he will come some times to the local dealer here, because he is the best selling in the world

The TB145 is less than a 1000 dollars cheaper.
Might as well say they are the same price for all practical purposes.

    AWJ,

Have you demoed the 153 yet? If I recall they had to bring it out on a bigger truck.

    No I have not.
I think the 145 gave me a good indication of the digging power.
The 153 specs slightly better so now I have too decide which one I want and also if I need cab are not.

I will say the 145 would be a breeze too service.
The large tail swing however is not too my liking.

I was impressed at how it carried the 36 inch bucket.
    It was almost effortless.
