Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sre the total amount of mobile charged ions (minerals, salts, metals dissolved in a given volume of water, TDS includes any inorganic element other than pure water.

i have a TDS testing pen for testing the salt in salt water pools, just wondering if testing the irrigation water might give some hints to extending the life of sprayers, rotars, nozzles and valves?

i dug it out of the trailer today and was reading the package bs, it says that the lower the TDS the better the water is.

anyone ever have test samples pulled?

IMO, any water that is not city water should be tested, especially in arid/semi-arid environments.
