Has any one run a flyer in "The Bag" or similar? "The Bag" (in our area) is a bag of advertisements that is hung on our mailboxes every Saturday. It typically includes all of the local grocery stores weekly ads and specials. They have an option to buy an insert that that is half page wide and sticks out the top w/ four color printing. I can do 10k homes once, or 5k homes twice. Plus, I can hand pick the areas for distribution. Sounds like a pretty good deal, but, how effective is it? Has anyone tried this?

We have something called Money Mailer around here. It comes out every month and it is full of free coupons from local business owners. I'm sure it's pretty expensive to run an add in it, but I would be willing to be that it is effective. The reason I say this is because I always open it up and check out the coupons and so do others that I know. It doesn't just get tossed aside like a lot of advertising.

I have seen landscape companies advertise there before.
