Nice buy for someone, good looking machine for the price for sure. I'm getting the itch to seriously find about 20 grand to buy something and get myself set up to be an owner/operator and still be legit with the union. Iron prices are getting to be ridiculous. They'll bounce back up as soon as the economy makes a turn. Right now is the time to buy, branch out, and expand into other avenues of business that you may not have been able to afford to get into before the iron prices took a dump.

That Tak looked abused for only 600 hr. Looked like it was driven hard and put away wet. Given the market conditions, I would have passed and waited for something not so abused, like that Cat. She looked pretty clean, although I don't know anything about how well that loegering system performs.

The Tak is far from abused, just a little dirty and needs track tensioning. The Cat, on the other hand, needs a new set of tracks.

The TK is a steal. It is 60% cheaper than new with only 600 hours. Even if you had to put money in it, its still a deal. The CAT machine is almost like buying the VTS and getting a skid steer for free.

Like my pa used to say. "The best time to have money is when nobody else does."

    They both need new tracks.

I can look past a dirty machine but all that mud and rust scares me, it's everywhere. It looks like they pulled it out of a swamp and didn't even clean it up. And the back end paint is all chipped up and rusting.

I realize that Tak's are supposed to be tanks and can take anything you throw at them, but if you get them dirty, clean them up. If you bang them up, fix them. If you don't, then that means someone doesn't care, and to me that's abuse. Imho

What is that white snot on the belly pan of the TAK.

The Tak may only have 600 hours but the machine looks like it has 2000 hours something is fishy about that deal.

Equipment prices are down everywhere but the prices on those skid steers are awfully low.

The Takeuchi has a few hundered more hours on the tracks.
I bet it was used in a very sandy enviroment and why not wash it first?
Not sure if that is rust or dirt?
For the money considering the inspection results it is a great deal.
