The Cost of Doing Business at Convention Centers

    The Ohio Turfgrass Foundation is moving its annual conference and show from Columbus, Ohio, to a water theme park in Sandusky, Ohio. (This is not a misprint.) OTF discovered it could make more money by moving the show to the water park -- even if booth space and attendance drops 30 percent.


    Apparently, it's just too expensive to stage the show at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Way to expensive. I've heard this complaint for years about large convention centers. Looks like something is about to give.
