I met a Dr of Chemistry at a wedding a few years back. He was in his 80's and had been a chemist all of his adult life. He said that the one thing thing you never hear about DDT is the number of lives it has saved. It is probably the number one reason that many mosquito borne diseases are now rare, where they used to wipe out entire towns.

It's the same breed of enviro's we deal with today. Here they are trying to have a province wide pesticide ban, overruling federal law. the sad part is people are very ignorant to what a pesticide really is, and in turn are easily swayed by environmental groups. Take a look at the fur industry. I don't like to admit it but the minority with there bogus science is winning the battle. If we all could just educate on person a day while on the job about registered lawn products word will spread and we may have a chance. No sense in crying when it's too late if we don't do something now.
