Did he have a 48" walkbehind in the back of a car with the trunk and back tore off, with wood ramps sticking out the rear window? I just saw him driving around here today.

He probably had a shiny truck, a nice mower and no business sense.
You'd be surprised at how normal the new lco's are. It's just hard to make any money in cutting lawns. Period.

Too easy to start, and at $30 a yard, damn hard to make anything more than just a job that forces the owner to work 6 to 7 days a week.

Might as well work where there's healthcare paid for and a pension...

Tell him you could do it for $65.00 too but you would like to be in business next year...

Don't worry about it, this gets better over time.
