Farmville is halfway between Lynchburg and Richmond. We are practically dead center in VA. Are you asking about the Deere backhoe or the riding lawnmower?

They are 9' walls and the concrete pad is sloped from back to front about one inch.

We were able to set up the first two wall sections today. We got a late start because the nail gun broke and we had to go buy a new one. Here are we lifting the first section. It was just my grandfather (Big Mac), younger brother (Stephen), and me, lifting a wall section that was 9' high, 12' long, was made of 2x6 studs, and already had the OSB boards on it! They were heavy!:dizzy: And I mean HEAVY!

That's going to be a nice garage when it's done.

What's the purpose of the 1' gap at the bottom of the walls?

Once all the walls are up we will come back and nail sections of OSB over those gaps.

When we got started this morning it was about 26 degrees. Despite the cold, we were able to build, raise, level, and sucure a total of six wall sections today. In the second picture (from left to right) Stephen, Granny (my grandmother), Ken (a friend), myself, and Mac (my grandfather). Here are the pictures.
