With all the talk of the rain this week...lets hear how the shots are called. Whats your rain policy when you work (esp. cutting grass)

What justifies not having the guys come in and going out to work. When do you say what the heck and have the guys come and break out the rainsuits?

When do you have to call it a day when everyones ass is just too wet!!??

    Lets hear it.

If it is more than mist in the mornig we will not go out but if it starts raining midday we usually work the rest of the day unless its is pouring.

I don't mow in the rain or on Sunday for any reason. Yes, I will lose the account before doing so.

I call it when lightening occurs.
Wet or shine, when I see a bolt - forget it- we are out of here.
I have mowed turf when it was 25*F to 113*F, yet when a bolt comes around- forget it.
I have seen (and had to pick up) unfortunate dummy's that thought lightening was nothing to worry about.
Wet turf, yes, if one isn't careful - damage will occur however nothing compared to mother nature.

I'm with you on that one SWD. As soon as I see lightning or hear thunder I'm back in the truck. I don't mind a little rain, but if there's enough to make the ground soft I will stop.
