i was looking on jeffs bronco graveyard and came across a NV 4500 Transmission Swap Kit hmm would this be better than the trans that Ive got now I know what I got now is a 5speed manual not sure if it a ZF or not but boy is first really low imo. so if my transmission goes in the future I might give jeff a call. but whats you guy opinion?

    whats wrong with your ZF?
first gear is granny(5.72:1), I used to take off in second when unloaded.
I believe the NV4500 and NV5600 are cast iron cases versus the ZF's aluminum case.
There is not much gearing that you will gain from the conversion.
    ZF:5.72, 2.94, 1.61, 1, .76
    NV:5.61, 3.04, 1.67, 1, .73

    87 and up f250/350 have a ZF
ZF has diagonal ribs while the mazda has horizontal/vertical ribs

The ZF seem to be a pretty good transmission. Would it be worth it to swap. On this application I doubt it.
