Wow!!! It's amazing how flagrant people are these days. I was doing a search on some text on one of the pages on my website (to make sure that page on my website was being indexed by Google) and what do you know! Turns out that exact text is on some other LCO's website!

In fact, over 75% of the content on this Yahoo's site (text....copy) was taken from various pages on my website and even half of the photos on their site they stole from our site.

But this page (below) is the funniest. Because they even kept the text that says, "Lewis Landscape Services is the place to call."

    http://greenparksudan.com/lawnCare.html

I don't know whose STRIPING photos those are on the Promotions page but I bet he stole those from someone here on lawnsite. I doubt those photos were taken in the Sudan.

I've had this happen on a smaller scale here in my own city. But that guy is a member on this forum so I won't dog him out publicly. I've just never seen someone steal THAT much of my content before. Holy crap! What a tard.

And I love the part of his IRRIGATION page where it says...

"Our Rainbird irrigation, systems also come with a Full 5 Year Parts and Labor warranty - the strongest warranty in the Portland area."

The Portland area??? Wait a minute? I thought you were in the Sudan????

    LOL!!!!!

What can I do? The dude's in the the middle of freakin' Africa! The U.S. doesn't even have enough of a relationship with Sudan to stem the genocide that's going on in Darfur, Sudan much less enough sway to put any legal pressure on some lawn mower dude. Not much I can do.

I wrote him a funny email. Just said, "Great website! Where did you ever think of the slogan "setting the gold standard in landscaping" and where did you ever come up with such great text and photos? Oh yah! I wrote most of that myself and those are my photos!!! Real creative, genius." .......something like that.

What else could I possibly do? And really, there's no harm to me. He's not my competition. It's just funny how flagrantly people plagiarize other websites these days.

i dont even know where to start with this one, but i would be pissed too.

we put a long time into writing the text on our site and that is just plagiarism at its root. at least he is in another country, wont effect you a single bit.

Any kind of information you put on the web is public information and anybody can use it!

You actually think guys take PICS of their own work when they are creating their own websites, yea right!

Whadda you gonna do, call the Internet police?
