I am going today to buy a mower. Have decided on the Exmark Turf Tracer HP 48"/17Kaw w/ electric start. I owned one of these in 2001 for one year and loved it but decided I wanted to ride. I bought a Lazer Z HP 52"/23Kaw in 2002 and used for three seasons, then sold it when I got out of this "part time" business. I now want a mower for home use. I have about 1-1.5 ac. to cut, have a girlfriend with about the same, and also want to help cut my parents and grandparents property some. The TT is about $800 less than a Scag Tiger Cub 48"/24Briggs that is on special. I believe that a WB gives a better cut, but riding is easier. We also have varied terrain here and if I end up with a smaller property (I am living temporarily in my current home), a rider will be big time overkill. Think I am making a buying mistake?

Nope. Just get yourself a 2 wheeled sulky to go with it, and go for it.
