I currently have a M48 which is on its third full season. Next year I will probably sell this mower. I was wanting to get thoughts on which mower I should get. I either want the new M60 w.25 kawi which is like 8,000 msrp, or the new ferris hydro walkbehind 61" with 25 kawi which is 6300 or so. Most of my lawns are under an acre, all though I have one 5 acre which takes me just under two hours w/ the M48 mow and trim. I mow 50 lawns a week right now. Any way what do you guys think. I figure at the end of the season I could probably seel the M48 for about 3000-3500 or so.

The 60" is a nice step up in productivity.

I'd keep the M48 around too... unless you need the help for getting the 60".

I bet you can do better than 8K on the M-60.

I know the M60 comes with 4 different engine options, do you know what the 25 kawi goes for.

Depends on where you are and what year model...

I haven't heard any quotes on the 2007's.
I've only gotten one price myself... $8,199 for a loaded 27/60.
Dunno if that it high or fair for the '07's.

As for the 2006 models, I've seen prices from $6,899 to $8,899.

The prices seem to vary vastly.
I'm not sure why past "gouging" maybe.

After much dwelling on the day's events, I have thought it through and decided to return to say this...

$7,600 is a FAIR price for the 2007 25/60 in Anytown USA.

$6,800 is a FAIR price for the 2006.

I wouldn't expect to get a new one for less than that, and to pay a little more wouldn't be terrible either.

When I came on here earlier, I was still having a little trouble with the $800 price increase. But after thinking about things more, I understand it now.
