this blower looks like a both shindaiwa and redmax

    That must be an older redmax housing because mine isn't like that. Thats deffinatly a shindy motor though.

    looks just like my redmax eb431 from the mid 90's

    Is it possible that redmax made em and shindy just rebadged em...Auto makers havebeen doing it for years....

    but $200 for a used blowers seems a bit steep too....

    that IS a redmax 431 . its exactly like the one i have that still works altough its a bit dated by todays standards. i say the above post is right-its a shindy pull start on a redmax or could be just the sticker on one

    If its not a 431, then its a 6200 - can't tell tube size from pics. The 431's "wand" handle was an "add-on" it came standard on the 6200. This unit is okay, more power than a 431, less than a 7000 or 7001.

    if you look on the recoil starter it looks like there is a shindaiwa sticker

    i bought the add on handle for mine. made a big difference. not much more blowing cap than a good hand blower but ultra reliable. backpacs have come a long way since this model.
