Yea---I'm going to spend over 9K for something that has 0 in R&D compared to a Scag/Toro/Exmark

Heck no! Maybe a 23hp at the least, and I would be worried if I had a grown up yard to mow. Believe me, Kiamichi opportunities here locally has a 25hp kawasaki on a John Deere 60", and I stopped to help them mow a couple of yards last season that were really bad, cause the deere was taking forever.

I'm sure there is a lip there for your feet but from the pictures, it looks like you just dangle you feet off of it. :)

They have been around for a long time, but they do not have many dealers. I demoed one a long time ago, and it mowed and handled great. However, they are a very nice, upscale homeowner machine at best. Not really designed for heavy duty commercial use day in and day out. Plus, as you noticed, they have a limited number of engine options available and are generally underpowered for commercial use.

I mowed with a 72" magnum several years ago and was amazed at the power it had. The thing cut great if I would have had a dealer around here I probably would have bought a couple of them. I have a friend who used them commercially and said they made him a lot of money over the years. He never had anything bad to say about them other than they liked gas but his were onan powered and not the kohler powered units.
