Looks a bit rough from the pictures. Hopefully only cosmetic. If the top sides of the deck are that bad, You'd better have a good look at the underneath deck. Check lines clutches/hydros real real good. It definitely is at least 8 years old.

I'd say the price is high. Without looking at it up close and running the machine, I'd shoot an off the cuff in my opinion price just based on pictures of 750 to 1000 bucks.

I just paid $900 for the same mower but in belt drive that was rather new. Hydros make all the difference, i think i would pay $2k. Just use your best judgment and demo it.

Thanks for the replies. I do agree it does look a bit roughed up. Its hard to picture someone maintaining the machine while roughing it up at the same time.

I just sold my 2006 Scag hydro 52 a couple weeks ago for $2200. Mine had the Velocity deck which is really the best deck. Mine had 3000 hours and looked way better than that!

Something seems wrong about this the unit has definitely NOT been taken care of for 500 hours. Maybe if a unit sit out all winter it looks like this but I seen better 48" units on lawnsite sales

Even if it runs good and eveything works, I would go $1200-$1400 tops.
