So looking to get a pickup truck, currently running from an excursion.

Found this one at the dealer, I am willing to pay the premium the dealer will charge because this still comes with all the warranties and gm's used car program.

Looking for thoughts on price....keep in mind I am in Southern Ontario
I am using the truck for maintenance and small installs like planting, mulch, soils.

I have had a 6.0 silverado for twelve years. I have had no serious issues with the engine or transmission (4l80e). I pull a tandem 16 foot trailer daily with two mowers and three trimmers two blowers, an edger and all the associated hand tools and gas cans. I have changed the plugs once and have never put brakes on it. If you can live with 7-8 mpg loaded then go for it. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. In that same time period I have driven 7.3 fords, 6.0 fords, and duramax chevys. The 6.0 chevy gas burner has been more dependable than any of the fords. The duramax have not gave any trouble either.

ha ha...yeah, I don't think any 3/4 ton or 1 ton is going to get good mileage...but we don't buy them for mileage, we need to pull/haul stuff!

Right, I debated about a 1500 but I am hauling more often now and i need to be able to pull a 5ton loaded dump trailer.

Well I have a 2001 with the 6.0 and it is an absolute animal. Its great for hauling around the mowers, and I put an EZ dumper in mine and I can carry 5 yards of mulch no problems. The downside is I get 7 MPG all loaded up. But its about to roll over 210k

Thanks or the replies guys.... I bought the truck today, they were not into barganing price but I got them to do new tires and rust proofing so I am pretty pleased.

Now....where's the best place to get decals...

I just replaced my 02 6.0 for an 09 6.0 this is in a 3500 dump just as my 02 was only main difference is the trans went from a 4 speed to a 6 the 02 would run all over this 09 and I'm not joking I don't know what is up with the truck but it is a DOG i'm hoping it starts to run better after it gets use to us driving it.

I have a 2011 2500hd with a 6.0, I absolutely love the truck, but the gas mileage is terrible. I drive about 400-500 miles per week, a 32 gallon tank costs over $100 to fill and lasts 4days.
